Although the machine that stimulates waves is not always turned on, still the waves would come out every now and then. Within the wavepool are slides, toddler creeks and bubble pools. They even have a Jacuzzi where adults can take a dip. Lifeguards are also seen beside the pool area so you can be sure of your kid’s safety.

Known as the first ever wavepool in Mindanao covering 2000 sqm, Emars Wavepool Hotel, Beach Resort and Restaurant boosts refined ambiance and sophisticated function halls along with its restaurants which offers international and Filipino cuisines. Their function room caters special occasions like weddings and corporate events. Cottages for day use costs around Php200.00.
The hotel is equipped with 85 air-conditioned rooms with wifi, cable tv, complimentary breakfast and entrance to their wavepool. Room rate starts at Php 1,500.00 and extra beds costs Php350.00.     It’s quite ironic that I’m from Davao but I’m yet to set foot on Emars. But sadly, I don’t think I can go there yet. As far as I can remember the City Government had it closed for permit reasons. I haven’t heard anything yet of its reopening.
