Cable Car in Danao, Bohol

One of the activities offered by EAT Danao in Bohol, aside from the heart-pumping Plunge and Zipline, which they referred to as Suislide, is the Cable Car.

Named as Sky Ride, the Cable Car Ride is an open-air cabin, suspended about 200 meters above the Wahig River. It is a 15 minute-ride back and forth in 300-meter solid steel cables. Everyone who rides the Cable Car will experience a panoramic view of the gorge (a deep ravine, usually with a river running through it).

The Cable Car has a maximum capacity of 6 persons and it can carry up to 8 tons of load. Recently, the Sky Ride has become one of the top activities in EAT Danao because it serves as the “Level 1” for conquering your fear of heights or acrophobia. It can only accommodate 190 persons per day so make sure you book ahead of time or go there early. The rate of the cable ride is P250 per person and a large portion of it will go to Environment Care and Scholarship for the children living in the Municipality.

Riding the Cable Car in Danao is agonizing at first because you feel unsure of your safety. It will worsen when you reach the middle part because of the strong winds. In your return trip, you will gradually feel calm and confident that you will reach your starting point because you are already used to the thrill in a short while. The safety and security of EAT Danao’s rides are checked on a daily basis, if not hourly. They make sure all the guest will ride safely and return home in one piece because once there are casualties the adventure park will surely be close by the authorities.

Before you experience the Zipline and the Plunge, be sure to experience the Cable Car first so you can feel the thrill in a much relax mode compared to the other adventures.
