Mt. Ilihan is a beautiful scenery overlooking the neighboring barangays of Siquijor. It is located in the western part of Barangay Ytaya. The shape of Mt. Ilihan is similar to Mayon Volcano in Luzon. On the top of it stands the big cross where the Station of the Cross is being celebrated during holy week. The St. John the Baptist Fluvial Parade is celebrated every 24th of June in celebration of the 2nd devotion fiesta of Barangay Gabayan. It is an activity for the residents to showcase the ability, strength and endurance in boat racing sports, parlor games and the colorful fluvial parade. The Sinulog sa Tigbawan is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January in Siquijor, Philippines. A yearly fiesta celebration of the barangay’s Patron Sr. Santo Niño. It is done by a colored participation of contingents in bedecked costumes, choreographed movements, lively sounds of the sinulog beat in the streets and during the Sinulog showdown competitions. The Sinulog sa Tigbawan is concurrent with the Sinulog celebration in Cebu but the latter having more visitors and congregation.

The construction of the Lazi Convent started in 1887 under the supervision of Fray Toribio Sanchez, using indigenous coral stones and local hardwood. It was completed and blessed in 1891.
