Because of the influence of Dumaguete in the Negros Oriental province, the Sibulan Airport is widely recognized by locals as the Dumaguete Airport.
The Dumaguete Airport is situated in Barangay Boloc-Boloc, Municipality of Sibulan because there are no more spaces available for a domestic airport in the “University City”. It is located near the border of Sibulan and Dumaguete, about 3-4 kilometers from the city center.
The Dumaguete Airport is classified as a Class 1 principal (major domestic) airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the body of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) that is in charge for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports.
The length of the runways of Dumaguete Airport is 1,870 meters (6,136 feet) with an asphalt surface. Its direction is 09/24 (technical term).
Based on the 2008 statistics, the airport had a total passenger of 306,452, in 2,714 aircraft movements and 2,655 metric tonnes of cargo.
Cebu Pacific flies from Mactan Airport (Cebu) & NAIA Airport (Pasay, Manila) to Dumaguete Airport and vice versa. Philippine Airlines flies from Manila to Dumaguete and vice versa.

Good morning!
Sir/madam:
MY first concern is to ask about the land near the airport/ located near the CARE MINISTRY in Agan-an, Sibulan,, if who is the current owner of the land. This is a vacant lot, and i heard some rumor that this lot was being own by the bank already. and some negotiations were currently happening…
My second concern is that are the people squatting their house near the Airport are allowed to have their houses being rented? i think this a form of gambling and the worst thing is that it is a government’s property….
Thank you!! i’ hoping for your kind reply about my concern.
please don’t publish my email account or just consider me as an unknown sender…
Respectfully yours,
