Public Swimming Pool in Malaybalay

Located in Can-ayan, Malaybalay City, a Public Swimming Pool can be enjoyed by all the people, both locals and foreigners alike. Since it is about 10 minutes away from the main road of Malaybalay, Bukidnon, getting there is quite hard. Someone needs his own vehicle to get there and most motorella’s (or tricycles) does not go there even if you charter it. You may want to try negotiating a multicab because they would surely agree if the price is right.

One of the few Public Swimming Pool in the Philippines, this pool got its water from the natural springs in the mountains of Bukidnon and most of its patrons are the folks living nearby. It used to be a highly visited pool before the other swimming pools nearby Malaybalay were developed. It has two swimming pools in a secluded area surrounded by a lush greenery of bermuda grass, plants and tall trees. It can be enjoyed by both kids and adults because the depth of the pools is about 2 feet to 4 feet. It is currently managed and maintained by the Local Government Units of Bukidnon and the admission is totally free. There are comfort rooms available and an eating area is provided. Bringing of own tents, tables and chairs are encouraged because there are only limited amenities. The Public Swimming Pool is open from 8am to 5pm.

The original entrance door is across a water passage, which is why a wood footbridge was built. But since it is already brittle, access to the footbridge is no longer allowed and they made a new entrance gate at the other side. The ordinary swimming pool rules and regulations apply; such as wearing of proper bathing suits, taking a shower before using the pool, those with diseases are not allowed, food and drinks are prohibited near the pool, below 12 years old are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult, among the others.
