The Surigao Airport is a domestic airport serving the general area of Surigao City. It is situated in the Barangay Luna, Province of Surigao del Norte in the Philippines.
Surigao Airport, known in Filipino as Paliparan ng Surigao and in Cebuano as Tugpahanan sa Surigao, is classified as a Class 2 principal (or minor domestic) airport by the CAAP (Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines), a body of the DOTC (Department of Transportation and Communications) that is in charge of the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines excluding the major international airports.
Surigao Airport has an elevation above mean seal level of 6 meters (20 feet). It has a single runway which has a concrete surface with a length of 1,708 meters (5,603 feet). The direction of the airport is 18/36.
In 2008, Surigao Airport recorded a total passenger of 23,170, with 724 aircraft movements and 128 metric tonnes of cargo.
Cebu Pacific Airlines has regular flights from Surigao to Cebu and Manila and vice versa while Airphil Express has regular flights from Surigao to Manila only.
Getting there and away
Surigao Airport is located 4 kilometers from the city center of Surigao. To get to the city, tourists can take a tricycle (locally known as motorela) for P150/trip which can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons.

There is also a weekly direct flight from Cebu to Siargao.
Di kaya nakakatakot ang mga planes coming from Manila? Malalaki na ba? Dati kasi sa Butuan pa kami dumadaan pag gusto naming pumunta ng Siargao. At least mas malapit na kung sa Surigao kami manggagaling.
