Along Archbishop Reyes Avenue and N. Escario St. are just a few of the tallest buildings in Metro Cebu today. Aside from the hotels in this place, there are also on-going constructions of high-end Condominiums in the area. In the picture below is a view of the tall Parklane Hotel, Mandarin Hotel and Quest Hotel, which are just a few meters from Ayala Center Cebu inside Cebu Business Park. There are more tall buildings in the business districts and some are located in Cebu IT Park, which is just a kilometer away from where this photo is taken.
Standing at one of the terraces inside the tall WellCome Hotel in Molave St., a picturesque view of the modern Metro will surely amaze anyone. With this building modernization come also the traffic woes. At the rightmost part of the photo below is Horizons 101 Condominium, one of the tallest condos in Cebu City. By the time this is livable, the traffic jams in Metro Cebu will surely become a huge problem.
Having tall buildings is probably a sign of growth and problems in unemployment will lower. Investors love Cebu because of the resources they can use for their businesses here. Nevertheless, the government is obviously considering options how to deal with problems on modernization and construction of tall buildings in the Metro.
